Luxury helicopter crashes into Hudson River

A helicopter pilot has been pulled from the Hudson River in New York after the chopper he was manning crashed.
The chopper, a Bell 206 run by luxury company Blade, went down near 12tth Avenue and West 34th Street earlier today, the New York Post reports.

A representative for Blade told the media outlet the pilot made an emergency landing on floats on the river. No passengers were on board.
“A helicopter fell short of the landing pad on West 30th Street and Hudson River,” New York Police Department said in a statement.

“The pilot is out of the water and the helicopter is secured. Please avoid the area.”
