Crispy parmesan cheese crackers may seem like a fancy indulgence from a gourmet food store or perhaps something you can only hope to receive in a holiday gift basket, but in reality, these little decadent bites couldn’t be easier to make at home.
Over at Foodie With Family, blogger Rebecca has cracked the code on how to whip up parmesan cheese crisps — and she’s kicked it up a notch by adding in some everything bagel seasoning. With just three ingredients, Rebecca’s everything parmesan crisps are easy to make, yet impressive to serve.
The secret to making these little bites extra-special is to buy a wedge of real parmesan cheese and grate it yourself. As Rebecca points out, the pre-grated store-bought parm often includes added stuff like potato starch. It also won’t melt as well, so you won’t get the solid, crispy discs you can achieve by using the real cheese.
The process is simple: Grate the cheese, toss it with the other two ingredients (flour and everything seasoning), portion out in piles onto a baking sheet (lined with parchment paper or a Silpat) and then bake until the cheese is melted and golden brown.
The end result? Elegant bites fit for a wine-and-cheese night.
